Congressmen John James And Tom Barrett Did Nothing To Stop One Of The Largest Tax Hikes In American History

Today is Tax Day in America, and this week, Michigan Families for Fair Care (MFFC) launched several ads in local newspapers, including Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, and Lansing State Journal, to remind Michiganders about the role Congressmen John James and Tom Barrett have played on President Trump’s disastrous economic policies. 

The ads highlight how Rep. James and Rep. Barrett want their constituents to pay for billionaire tax breaks. High tariffs on consumer goods mean we’re stuck footing the bill after importers pass the rise in costs down to us. Republicans in Congress are full steam ahead on using tariffs to pay for more tax breaks for billionaires.
