Statement From Michigan Families For Fair Care On Lowering The Cost Of Prescription Drugs
Momentum continues to grow for lowering the price of prescription drugs as we see a path for greater financial stability for all Michiganders. Policies like bringing down drug prices have bolstered Michigan’s economy and helped hard-working Michiganders get by.
Americans nationwide got good news this week after it was announced that Medicare drug price negotiations would provide seniors with over a billion dollars in out-of-pocket medication savings.
Susan Diliberti, Clinton Township resident said this about the efforts to lower drug costs:
“It is exciting to see momentum grow for lowering the price of prescription drugs. These policies have delivered real, meaningful change for Michigan families, like myself. As someone on Medicare, I'm thrilled to have a cap on out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs and I'm happy to see our country headed in the direction where everyone, especially those who need it most, can stand to benefit. Maybe representatives, like Rep. John James, should focus on lowering health care costs instead of voting to increase them, residents like myself would feel safer knowing our elected officials are on our side.”
